Top 5 Fav Restaurants Right Now

I absolutely love food. And I love finding the best food at local restaurants. Here’s a snapshot of what my top 5 favorite restaurants are right now:

North Italia – Irvine

I am obsessed with North Italia. It’s truly the best Italian food I’ve had. People who have traveled to Italy have said this is the closest thing to authentic Italian food. My office is actually right across the street from North Italia (I can walk there I’m so close), so I’ve gone a few times to meet friends after work.

Must haves on the menu: grilled artichokes, calamari, bolognese (this is a house specialty), strozzapreti

Tommy’s Sushi & Japanese Restaurant – Tustin

Amazing sushi is hard to beat and I absolutely love Tommy’s. The fish is so unbelievably fresh. Tommy’s is a little hole-in-the-wall place that you might not even give a second look if you’re walking by it. But if you want incredible sushi, pop in and sit at the sushi bar.

Must haves on the menu: crunchy handroll on soy paper, paradise cucumber roll, poke bowl

True Food Kitchen – Newport Beach

True Food is one of my all-time favs. It’s real food that’s super healthy and good for you, so you’re left completely full after what seems like not that much food. It’s at Fashion Island so make a day out of it and shop after!

Must haves on the menu: herb hummus, teriyaki quinoa bowl (add steak)

Trevor’s At The Tracks (for Sunday brunch) – San Juan Capistrano

Trevor’s has a Sunday brunch from 10am-2pm with an amazing brunch menu. I haven’t been for lunch/dinner yet but it’s high up on my list after how amazing the brunch was! They often have live music during brunch and it’s so much fun to get a mimosa and sit outside on the patio listening.

Must have on the menu: The Gravy Train (biscuits and gravy w/ fried chicken and fried egg!)

Karl Strauss Brewing Company – Costa Mesa and Anaheim (across the street from Angels stadium)

I love going to Karl Strauss before Angels games. If you eat/drink at Karl Strauss, you can park for free in their parking lot for the game! It helps that their food is amazing. Super yummy appetizers and great meals. Love this place!

Must haves on the menu: duck fat pretzel bites, The Norm (mac and cheese with breadcrumb topping)
